Visual Arts

The Visual Arts program at DVA is vibrant and dynamic. At any given moment students may be printing with linoleum, working on a photo essay, or sculpting a gigantic electrical cord (outlet and all) after artist Claus Oldenburg. Unique visions are encouraged. Students learn design problem-solving, creative thinking, art technique, and art history through hands-on projects that are often linked to their other classes and museum.  Students have already garnered numerous awards from several art competitions this year.
